LITECOIN CHART READING: FROZEN SAMPLE AND FICTIONAL PATHS Version 2026-10-12-v1. Responsible author/editor: Jarosław Wasiński. Source review and public response acquisition: 12 October 2026. OBSERVED SAMPLE One public unauthenticated Coinbase Exchange LTC-USD candles request. Raw bytes: coinbase-response.json (5201 bytes), HTTP 200. Request URL, raw SHA256, request start/retrieval UTC and selected response headers are in provenance.json. Retrieval: 2026-10-12T10:31:53.906859+00:00. Requested bucket window [2026-10-11T10:30:00Z, 2026-10-12T10:30:00Z). Each retained bucket has start+900 <= end. The raw response includes one extra bucket starting at the excluded end, 12Oct10:30Z. It is not a completed selected bucket and is excluded. 97 raw -> 96 valid unique selected buckets / 96 expected. No gaps, invalid rows, identical duplicates or conflicting duplicates in sample. Schema and precision Raw six-value order: time, low, high, open, close, volume. JSON numerical tokens are parsed with Decimal. Normalized CSV/JSON price/volume fields are strings so no binary-float precision is substituted. The volume field is retained as the provider's trading-activity value, not used to claim liquidity or whole-market volume. Candle starts are UTC; nominal end boundaries are start+900 seconds. The exact timestamp of the first/last trade inside a bucket is not provided. Endpoints and statistics The first close, 63.381, belongs to 11 Oct 10:30-10:45. The last close, 65, belongs to 12 Oct 10:15-10:30. Their nominal end boundaries are 85,500 seconds (23 hours 45 minutes) apart, not an exact 24-hour trade-endpoint return. Actual last-trade timestamps are unknown. Close change = (65/63.381-1)*100 = 161900/63381 percent, approximately 2.55439327%. Highest high 65.82 versus highest close 65.773: 12 Oct 07:45 bucket. Lowest low 63.331 versus lowest close 63.381: 11 Oct 10:30 bucket. Largest earlier-close drawdown is 65.773 -> 64.944, 12 Oct 07:45 -> 09:30 buckets: 82900/65773 percent, approximately 1.26039560%. This does not measure all ticks. Ties select the earliest chronological observation. Coverage refers to the provider bucket grid; no independent matching-engine audit was undertaken. Validation/selection rules Check six finite numeric fields, integer UTC-aligned start, positive prices, nonnegative volume and low<=open/close<=high. Invalid rows are reported, not replaced with zero. Identical duplicate starts collapse; conflicting ones fail. No gaps are interpolated or carried forward. A future or outside bucket is not selected. Exact fractions are kept for percentage results; eight-decimal representations are expressly rounded. Normalized data retains provider precision. FICTIONAL MODEL fictional-paths contains A: [60,66,54,62] and B: [60,54,66,62]. These are assigned ordered teaching points, not measured Litecoin ticks. Both have OHLC 60/66/54/62 and return 10/3% = 3.33333333%. Worst ordered-point drawdown is 200/11% = 18.18181818% for A, and 10% = 10.00000000% for B. No timestamps, volume, bids/asks, fees, fill model or hypothetical order was supplied. No strategy, stoploss or prediction is tested. The paths illustrate lost ordering information only, not real daily volatility. REPRODUCE OFFLINE Place coinbase-response.json, provenance.json, candles.csv, results.json, fictional-paths.json, candles.json and reproduce.py.txt in one folder. With the Python 3 standard library: python reproduce.py.txt It reads local files, recalculates selection and Decimal statistics and compares published CSV/JSON; no network calls, account access or output files. For a separate algorithm, run: python verify-fractions.py.txt It imports no code from the first script and uses Fraction arithmetic with all ordered earlier/later point pairs rather than a running-peak algorithm. It checks normalized precision, rational percentages, extrema, boundaries and paths. SOURCE/CURRENT SITE SCOPE Official Coinbase definitions linked in sources.json. Current local chart.php, js/chart-page.js, js/chart-core.js, includes/chart-data.php and chart-terminal.js were inspected and hashed. Current UI Line/Area uses closes only, no bars or OHLC candle functionality claimed. Separate CoinGecko aggregate statistics/live quote are not plotted-candle data or whole-market validation of this frozen study. No trade, mainnet transaction, authenticated exchange API, customer fee survey, matching-engine audit or investment strategy test was performed. This snapshot is fixed; an article reader's current rolling chart naturally shows other dates. Research/drafting used AI assistance. No independent external review claimed.
