Mining profitability calculator

Estimate LTC and DOGE revenue at separate network difficulties. All money values are in USD.

Your hardware and costs

Starting electricity, fee and uptime values are editable assumptions. Presets specify one machine; enter total hashrate and power for a fleet. Electricity stops during downtime; other daily costs continue.

A multiplier of 2 halves that coin’s yield. DOGE rewards require a pool that credits them to you; some pools convert them to LTC. Network snapshot: LTC / DOGE, via Blockchair. Prices are indicative market quotes, not executable offers.

Coin yields are before the pool fee. Operating profit excludes tax, financing, depreciation, resale value and any costs you have not entered. One year means 365 days at unchanged inputs; this is not a forecast.

The blue line changes both coin prices together. The orange line changes both network difficulties together. Each varies one factor while holding your other inputs fixed.

How the calculation works

For each coin: expected coins/day ≈ hashrate in GH/s × 1,000,000,000 × 86,400 × uptime fraction × block subsidy ÷ (difficulty × 2³² × your difficulty multiplier). Each network has its own difficulty. Network hashrate is an estimate and is shown for context, not used as a substitute for either difficulty.

Litecoin targets one block every 150 seconds (576/day); Dogecoin targets one every 60 seconds (1,440/day). Those intervals explain network issuance; they are not an extra multiplier in the difficulty formula. DOGE pays 10,000 coins per block. Litecoin’s subsidy follows the next block height and halves every 840,000 blocks. Transaction fees and other merged-mined coins are excluded.

Daily profit = coin revenue − pool fee − electricity − other running costs. Break-even electricity = (revenue after pool fee − other running costs) ÷ active daily kWh. Payback = purchase and setup cost ÷ positive daily profit. Annual ROI = (365 × daily profit − purchase and setup cost) ÷ purchase and setup cost × 100%. No positive profit means no payback in this static model.

Automatic inputs expire after 15 minutes; a block older than 30 minutes also blocks automatic estimates. Cached data retain their original timestamp. Manual mode lets you enter explicit assumptions. Pool payout methods, luck, rejected shares, firmware fees and downtime can change your actual payout.

Hold the form’s prices, difficulties, power costs and uptime constant. Only the Litecoin subsidy changes from 6.25 to 3.125 LTC. DOGE stays separate and unchanged if merged mining is selected.

12-month operating scenario

This model uses 30-day months. Percentage changes apply to both coin prices or both network difficulties; they are assumptions, not fitted forecasts. Change the main inputs for a different starting point.

Electricity price, equipment efficiency, pool fee and uptime stay fixed. No resale value, financing, tax, reinvestment or compound increase in hardware hashrate is assumed. The halving month is chosen by you; it is not inferred from a calendar estimate.

Before choosing a pool

Compare the payout method, fees for each coin, minimum payout, rejected-share policy and treatment of merged-mined rewards. An advertised pool fee alone does not describe your total payout. Check the terms directly: Litecoinpool, F2Pool and ViaBTC.

Use your actual pool fee in the calculator. It currently applies the same percentage to both coins; if your pool pays a different effective rate or converts rewards, compare the estimate with the pool’s payout statement.
