How the average cost calculator works

Your average cost, also called your cost basis, is the total you spent on Litecoin divided by the total LTC you own. When you buy at several different prices, the average smooths them into a single break-even figure: the price LTC must hold for you to be even. This tool tracks each buy, computes the weighted average, and compares it to the live Litecoin price to show your real-time profit or loss.

It is the companion to dollar-cost averaging. To plan future buys, try the DCA simulator; for the price outlook, see the Litecoin forecast; and to handle gains at sale time, use the tax calculator.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate my average Litecoin cost?
Add up everything you spent on LTC, then divide by the total coins bought. That weighted average is your cost basis. The calculator does it for you and shows break-even and live P&L.
What is a break-even price for Litecoin?
The LTC price at which your holdings equal what you paid. Above it you profit, below it you lose. It equals your average cost per coin including fees.
Does this calculator store my data?
No. Purchases are saved only in your browser and never uploaded, so the calculation stays private.
